In October, Information Technology Services (ITS) announced the availability of Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus for all active Mason employees. A similar program was made available to students in 2014. This program allows the installation of up to five copies of the Microsoft Office Suite on personal computers at no cost. ITS recently became aware that Microsoft partners are marketing other Microsoft products, including the Home Use Program, which provides the Microsoft Office Suite at a low cost. However, ProPlus is the only option licensed and managed by Mason ITS. Therefore, ITS recommends customers utilize this free subscription.
If you receive any email marketing from Microsoft or a Microsoft partner that offers the Office Suite at a cost or access to the Office Suite outside of ProPlus, contact the ITS Support Center for assistance in determining its validity before spending university or personal funds.

On Monday, July 18, construction of the Sandy Creek Transit Center will begin. As a result, several major changes to shuttle operations, garage operations and traffic patterns will occur.
The Sandy Creek Shuttle Stop will close until the fall semester. The stop is tentatively scheduled to re-open to limited shuttle service at the start of the fall semester.
All Mason Shuttles summer schedules will change beginning July 18 with the closure of the Sandy Creek Shuttle Stop. See below for the new schedules in effect starting on July 18 for the remainder of the summer semester.
Sandy Creek Way will close beyond the 2nd level entrance to the Shenandoah Deck. The 1st level visitor entrance and 2nd level permit entrance and exit will remain open. The 3rd level permit entrance and exit will be closed and replaced with a permit exit on the 1st level onto York River Road as the project progresses.
Short-term parking spaces in front of Parking Services will close. Visitor parking is available on the 1st level of the Shenandoah Deck, with the first thirty minutes complimentary. When parked over 30 minutes the complimentary thirty minutes no longer applies and the rate reverts to the posted hourly rates.
Disabled parking in front of Enterprise Hall and across from Research Hall will close. Permit holders with disabled parking access needs can be provided access to use disabled parking in the Shenandoah Deck. Permit holders should bring their disabled placard and DMV disabled registration to the Parking Services office, which is open 8:30am-5:00pm during summer.
Disabled access is also available through the Patriot Lift program, where students and employees with mobility impairments may schedule point-to-point golf cart rides in advance. See http://transportation.gmu.edu/patlift.html for details or call 703-993-2828.
York River Road between Patriot Circle and the disabled parking lot beside the Nguyen Engineering Building will become two-way traffic during construction.
